I have a vintage Wurlitzer jukebox that powers down for no reason while it is playing. I contacted a repairman?

...who stated that he could fix the problem just by hitting the machine with his fist in the right spot.
Do you think this guy is legitimate, or is this another one of those Fonzie schemes?
