how to play guitar and sing at the same time?

so ive been playing for nearly 2 years and just need some help please
p.s if anyone could give me any tips on singing too

I’m actually a bass player but I struggled with this too. Step 1: Get both the guitar part and vocal part really solid seperately. Step 2: Work it line by line. Listen to the song to see where the notes and chords fall. Step 3: Practice both together S-L-O-W-L-Y Try about half speed. If it isn’t coming together, try speaking the lyrics rythmically over your riffs. Just be patient and take it slow and it will come together. Most songs usually have 3 parts: A chorus, bridge and verse. If you are trying to do a complex piece to start off, don’t. Instead pick a simple song and work on getting it down. Once you get the first verse and chorus together the rest will come pretty quickly for you. There maybe some variations but you’ll have the structure. The more you do this, the quicker it will come together. Good luck.
