hi all , i have a 40 yr old large french oak cabinet with a old built in jukebox inside it. i want to restore the oak cabinet and need suggestions. i did in the past use antique oak varnish on this but didnt really like the look of it. so today i removed all the varnish off the entire cabinet using a hot air gun and then sanded the whole thing with an electric sander and parts by hand. so now im left with a completely sanded down to the grain oak cabinet. tomorrow im either going to oil, stain or varnish it so need your suggestions guys. i personally am thinking about just getting an antique oil and oil the cabinet and leave it at that, what do u think?
